Debugger Guide
Command File Entry
You can record a series of commands in a text file and enter them all into the command queue for execution. Use the INPUT command to specify the file. This is useful for entering a long series of commands that you want to execute often. You can record any Debugger command in this file, including additional INPUT commands to execute other command files. The following example enters the debugger commands from the file
commands.txt
into the command queue for execution:
Each command line in the file takes up one entry in the command queue. The Debugger inputs and executes all of the commands from this file before executing any other commands.
During command file entry, if the Debugger encounters an unrecognized command, it stops command execution and purges the queue of all remaining commands (including any commands queued after those from the command file). The Debugger then continues to accept command input from the Debugger window. You can also explicitly halt command file execution and purge the command queue at any time by invoking the break interrupt function (Debug
Interrupt option).
For more information on creating command files for use with the INPUT command, see Debugger Files."
