Generating a Detailed Table Report
Follow these steps to generate a detailed table report:
- Choose Database
Reports
Detailed Table. Progress alphabetically lists all the tables defined for your database.
- Select a table or type ALL. The Report Options dialog box appears:

- Specify the report destination. You can display the report on your terminal, print it, or save it to a file. If you want to save the report to a file, specify the filename and whether to append the report to an existing file.
- Specify the page length.
- Specify to order the fields by order number or alphabetically, then choose OK.
If you specified a file or printer, Progress generates the report to the specified output destination and returns you to the Data Dictionary window.
If you sent the report to the terminal, the Detailed Table Report dialog box appears. You can choose the Change Field Order button to reorder the fields, choose the Print button to print the report or write it to a file, or choose the OK button to close the Report Options dialog box.
