Modified Encoding Of the Numeric Format In the Trailer Of Table Dump (.d) Files

In table dump (.d) files, the trailer contains an encoding of the numeric format of the file.

In Progress prior to Version 9.1, the format of the encoding is:

SYNTAX
numformat=comma-or-period 

comma-or-period

A comma if the numeric format follows the European standard (in which the decimal point is a comma and the thousands separator is a period) or a period if the numeric format follows the American standard (in which the decimal point is a period and the thousands separator is a comma).

In Progress Version 9.1, the format of the encoding is:

SYNTAX
numformat=thousands-separator,decimal-point 

thousands-separator

The numeric value of the character that represents the thousands separator in the table dump file, using the table dump file’s code page.

decimal-point

The numeric value of the character that represents the decimal point in the table dump file, using the table dump file’s code page.

In Version 9.1, Progress reports a runtime error if one of the following occurs:
