Connecting to a Data Source Using a Logon Dialog Box
Some ODBC applications display a logon dialog box when you are connecting to a data source. In these cases, the data source name has already been specified. The Progress

In this dialog box, enter the following:
- Type the name of the system where the database is stored.
- Type the Port Number setup for the database listener process.
- Type the name of the database to which you want to connect.
- Type your user name.
- If required, type your password. Password is an optional parameters. You can log on to the database without this parameter, but you may not be able to create, delete, or manipulate the data.
- Click OK to complete the logon.
