Search Menu
The Search menu allows you to find a specified text or line in your debug listing. Table 4–2 lists the Search menu options and a brief description of each. There are no command equivalents for these options. More detailed descriptions follow the table.

Find
The Find option opens a dialog box that requests:
Choosing the Find Next button (OK in Motif) initiates the search. If found, the Debugger highlights the text, scrolling it into view, if necessary. If the text is not found, the Debugger displays an alert box message.

Find Next
The Find Next option highlights the next occurrence of the text specified by the Find option, scrolling it into view, if necessary. If Wrap at Beginning/End is turned off for the Find option and there is no next occurrence, the Debugger displays an alert box message (Motif only).

Find Prev
The Find Prev option highlights the previous occurrence of the text specified by the Find option, scrolling it into view, if necessary. If Wrap at Beginning/End is turned off for the Find option and there is no next occurrence, the Debugger displays an alert box message (Motif only).

Goto Line
The Goto Line option opens a dialog box that requests the line number of a line in the debug listing you want to see. Choosing OK causes the text cursor to move to the line you specify, scrolling it into view, if necessary. You must specify a line number greater than zero. If the line you specify is beyond the last line, the text cursor moves to the end of the listing.
