Debugger Guide

Intrinsic Functions and the Command Queue

All Debugger commands, no matter how you enter them, enter the command queue to be executed. Certain menu options, however, invoke intrinsic functions, not Debugger commands. Intrinsic functions are never queued. You can execute them immediately whenever the Debugger window is enabled, and whether or not an application has control. The Options and Help menus and the Interrupt option of the Debug menu all invoke intrinsic functions.

NOTE: Unlike the Help menu and its submenus, the HELP command provides access to the Debugger Help system through the command queue.
