Generating a Quick Index Report

Follow these steps to generate a quick index report:

  1. Choose Database Reports Quick Index. Progress alphabetically lists all the tables defined for your database.
  2. Select a table or type ALL, then press RETURN. Progress generates the report and displays the Quick Index Report dialog box.
  3. Choose one of the following options:
    1. Choose Switch Tables to generate a quick index report for another table. Progress alphabetically lists all the tables.
    2. Choose Print to print the report or write it to a file. The Print Options dialog box appears:
    3. Specify the report destination. If you want to save the report to a file, specify the filename and whether to append the report to an existing file.
    4. Specify the page length, then choose OK. Progress sends the report to the specified output destination and returns you to the Quick Index Report dialog box.
  4. Choose OK to return to the Data Dictionary window.
