Use Save Temp Files (-t) to make temporary files visible on UNIX. Typically, temporary files (LBInumber, SRTnumber, PGEnumber, DBInumber, and TRPnumber) are invisible (unlinked on UNIX) when Progress is running. In these filenames, number is the process ID of the user’s Progress session. The -t parameter also makes the entries visible after Progress aborts. However, if Progress aborts, delete the temporary files yourself.

With or without the -t parameter, Progress always deletes the temporary files when it terminates normally.
