Executing Triggers

The Native 4GL Client executes triggers defined in the Progress/400 Data Dictionary. However, for the triggers to work successfully with the Native 4GL Client, you must transfer the trigger p-code to the AS/400 after migrating the database to the AS/400. When you transfer the p-code, you must make sure it resides in the same directory name as the Windows client. For example, if your trigger code resides in \current-working-directory on your remote client, you must have your trigger code reside in a parallel directory on the AS/400.
