Defining Macros in Jumps

You define help macros as jumps in much the same way as you define regular jumps. The example below shows a jump that runs a macro that calls the help file on how to use Windows Help.

NOTE: The examples given in this section and the next section are not from the Procedure Editor help file.

To define a macro in a jump, follow these steps.

  1. Decide which word, phrase, or graphic reference will serve as the link text (the visual cue that identifies the jump to the user).
  2. Format the text or graphic reference as double underline (or strikethrough) text.
  3. Enter an exclamation point (!) and the macro name as hidden text immediately following the link text.
