Committing Work

The COMMIT WORK statement commits changes you make to the database. When you execute the COMMIT WORK statement, all open cursors are closed, the resources associated with them are released, and changes you made since the last COMMIT WORK or ROLLBACK WORK statement become permanent. Use the COMMIT WORK statement to commit work before exiting from your program, since the sqllogout() call rolls back work by default.

The COMMIT WORK statement has the following syntax:
