The Progress/400 AdminServer
The Progress/400 AdminServer is made up of two AS/400 jobs. The first job, named ADMINSERV, controls the Java Virtual Machine. The second job is the Java Virtual machine itself, named QJVACMDSRV. To start the AdminServer, use the Progress/400 STRADMSVR command. This command starts the AdminServer subsystem using the configured subsystem name and also starts the AdminServer jobs. For more information on the STRADMSVR command, see AS/400 Utilities."
The AdminServer jobs on the AS/400 run in the subsystem defined in the Administration Subsystem field within the Progress/400 AppServer Defaults menu of the Progress/400 install program. This subsystem can also be defined with the Change Progress/400 Defaults command (CHGPRODFT). For more information on the CHGPRODFT command, see AS/400 Utilities."
