Closing a Cursor
The CLOSE statement has the following general syntax.
This statement closes the cursor. You cannot refer to the cursor again unless you open it. If you reopen it, Progress/SQL re-evaluates the selection criteria for the retrieval set and repositions the cursor before the first row. All open cursors are closed when you exit from the procedure.
The following statement closes cursor c1.
