Product Update Bulletin
Version 9.1D Functionality
The WebClient installer in Version 9.1D supports three operating modes:
- Installation mode, which installs a new WebClient product.
- Maintenance mode, which supports three specific maintenance activities: Modify, Repair, and Remove to modify, repair, or remove an existing install, respectively. This is the same screen that appears in Figure G–1.
- Patch mode, a new mode dedicated to supporting the installation of a WebClient patch. This new patch mode provides three separate screens dedicated to installing a patch.
Patch Mode Dialog Boxes
Three new dialog boxes have been added to the WebClient Installer to support installing a patch. These dialog boxes automatically display when the patch trigger mechanism, a file named patchmode, is detected by the installer. Figure G–2 shows the InstallShield Wizard Welcome dialog box for the WebClient Patch Install program.
