Starting a Cluster-enabled Database

To start a cluster-enabled database, enter the following command:

procluster db-name start

db-name

Specifies the database to be started. The resource must have been previously enabled as a member of the cluster. The database name must contain the fully qualified path.

NOTE: PROCLUSTER will append -pf db-name.pf to the proserve command that is generated to start the database. The start command will fail if this parameter file is not found.

PROCLUSTER must be used in place of PROSERVE or other tools for Clusters to function properly.

To verify that the database started correctly, you can use the isalive and looksalive parameters to PROCLUSTER. See the "The isalive and looksalive Parameters" for more information.
