Client Internationalization Parameters

Use the parameters listed in Table 3–5 to control the format in which data appears.

Conversion Map
-convmap filename
Identify the conversion map file.
Case Table
-cpcase tablename
Identify the case table that establishes case rules for the code page.
Collation Table
-cpcoll tablename
Identify a collation table to use with the code page.
Internal Code Page
-cpinternal codepage
Identify the code page that Progress uses in memory.
Log File Code Page
-cplog codepage
Identify the code page used for writing messages to the log file.
Print Code Page
-cpprint codepage
Identify the code page used for printer output.
R-code in Code Page
-cprcodein codepage
Identify the code page used for reading r-code text segments.
R-code out Code Page
-cprcodeout codepage
Identify the code page used for writing r-code text segments.
Stream Code Page

Identify the code page used for stream I/O.
Terminal Code Page

Date Format
-d dateform
Specify the format for displaying dates, using the three-character string of d, m, y in any order.
European Numeric Format
-E
Display in European Numeric Format.
Initial Value Segment No Convert
-isnoconv
Disable a code page conversion that was not provided in earlier versions of Progress.
Language
-lng language-name
Identify the language with a character string, in quotes.
Fractional Separator
-numdec numeric-value
Change the character that represents a number’s decimal point in formatted text.
Thousands Separator
-numsep numeric-value
Change the character that represents a number’s thousands separator in formatted text.
Four Digit Year Default
-yr4def
Output a four-digit year from EXPORT, MESSAGE and PUT UNFORMATTED statements that may use a two-digit year.
Century Year Offset
-yy n
Specify the start of the 100-year period used to define the two-digit DATE value.
