SETUSERID Function

The SETUSERID function always returns false with the Native 4GL Client because you cannot change a user profile on the AS/400 with the Progress 4GL. With other clients, the SETUSERID function applies only to the user ID and password for the client schema holder. Use the User ID (-U) and Password (-P) connection parameters when you are connecting to DB2/400 database files, whether or not they exist in the client schema holder’s _User file. SETUSERID returns false if there is no _User file. Using SETUSERID for the schema holder does not change the user ID for the DB2/400 database files you connected to.
