Batch Installation Using the -b Switch
The syntax for running the Progress Installation utility in batch mode follows:
In the syntax above, directory pathname refers to the directory where the Progress Installation utility, the installation support files, and the archive files can be found.
For example, a typical batch installation command might be:
If no installation .ini file is specified as the argument to the switch -b, the Progress Installation utility searches the current directory for the default installation .ini file,
install.ini
. If no .ini file is found, the batch installation fails.If no directory is specified in the argument to the -b switch, the Installation utility searches the current directory for the specified .ini file.
