Main Window
The Main window displays information about WebClient in the WebClient tab and provides a list of available WebClient Applications in the Applications tab.
WebClient Tab
If the user runs WebClient Application Manager in WebClient mode, the Main window opens with the WebClient tab selected, as shown in Figure 8–2. This tab shows a list of all WebClient versions installed on the system along with an indication of the patch level for each one.

The WebClient tab includes a System Settings group box that has editable fields that display values for the application directory, and the host and port of a proxy server if the user’s system must connect to your Web server through an HTTP-based proxy server (firewall). If the user provided the proxy host and port during WebClient installation, these fields display them as the initial values. The user can modify them as follows:
- Application Directory — Allows users to change the directory on their system where a WebClient application is installed by default. Users can use the browse button to change this directory. You would have your users change this directory when there is not enough space on the drive the user initially specified for the application installation.
- Proxy Host — Allows the user to set or change the name or IP address of the host for the user’s firewall. This option appends the –proxyhost startup parameter with the associated host information to the list of startup parameters used to execute WebClient.
- Proxy Port — Allows the user to set or change the port for the user’s firewall. This option appends the –proxyport startup parameter with the associated port information to the list of startup parameters used to execute WebClient.
To save any changes made on this tab, the user must choose the Save Settings button.
Applications Tab
The Applications tab, shown in Figure 8–3, displays a list of all WebClient applications currently installed on the user’s system. Applications are identified using the vendor name and application name.
