Convert Progress/400 Dictionary (CVTPRODCT)

Use the CVTPRODCT utility to convert any previous version of a Progress/400 Dictionary to the current version. You can run this utility only once against a Dictionary Library.

NOTE: You must run DUPPRODB to create an empty dictionary library before you run CVTPRODCT.

Table 10–7 describes the CVTPRODCT parameters.

Table 10–7: CVTPRODCT Parameters
Parameter
Keyword
Value

SRCDCTLIB
Enter the name of the library that contains the Progress/400 Dictionary that you want to convert.
Destination Dictionary Library
DSTDCTLIB

This additional parameter, which you access using the F10 control key, specifies whether the Source Dictionary Library is converted in place. In a conversion in place, the Source Dictionary Library server schema is overlaid with new information.

- Enter *YES to perform the conversion in place
and overlay the Source Dictionary Library server
schema with the current Progress/400 version
server schema information. Note that if you enter
*YES, you must specify identical names for the
Source Dictionary Library and Destination
Dictionary Library parameters.
- Enter *NO (the default) to convert the Source
Dictionary Library to a different Destination
Dictionary Library; that is, to not perform the
conversion in place.
