Positioned DELETE
The positioned form of the DELETE statement is used with an open cursor. Once you have used the cursor statement FETCH to retrieve a row, you can delete that row.
The positioned DELETE statement has the following general syntax.
The table in the positioned DELETE statement is the same table associated with the cursor in the DECLARE CURSOR statement. The WHERE CURRENT OF clause uses the cursor-name to identify the cursor. When you delete the current row, the cursor is positioned before the next row, or after the last row if there is no next row.
The cursor restrictions listed for the positioned UPDATE also apply to positioned DELETE.
