Product Guide

Create Progress/400 Lock Table (CRTPROLKT)

Use the CRTPROLKT utility to create or modify a Progress/400 lock table. You can create only one lock table per Progress/400 server schema. Once created, the lock table exists until you explicitly delete it, whether or not there is an active Progress/400 session. The only modification you can make to an existing lock table is to change its number of entries.

For more information about Progress/400 lock tables, see the "Creating and Maintaining the Progress/400 Lock Table" section in Common Product Information."

Table 10–5 describes the CRTPROLKT parameters.

Table 10–5: CRTPROLKT Parameters
Parameter
Keyword
Value
Progress/400 Dictionary Library
PRODCT
Enter the name of a Progress/400 dictionary library. If a lock table is not associated with this library, the utility creates it, otherwise it modifies it as specified by the NUMLCK parameter.
Number of Lock Table Entries
NUMLCK
Enter an integer value from 100 to 99,999 that specifies the number of entries in the relevant Progress/400 lock table. A new lock table is created with this number of entries and an existing lock table is modified to contain this number of entries. The default is 500. You might have to adjust the value you set initially, depending on your number of users, to obtain maximum performance.
