Progress Version 9.1 Support For New Actuate APIs
In Actuate e.Reporting Suite Version 4, Actuate APIs are stored in a new Requester API DLL file called acrq4060.dll. These Actuate APIs allow Progress customers to define and invoke report-related examples from the Progress Version 9.1 application to meet their Actuate Version 4.0 report-access needs.
The following list identifies key changes and features related to Actuate Version 4.0 and Progress Version 9.1 reporting compatibility:
- New Actuate Version 4.0 and Progress Version 9.1 software component requirements to access and use the Actuate APIs.
- Numerous examples that describe how to view, generate, print, and edit parameters of Actuate reports.
- Detailed information about generic report examples that use two include files:
acapi.i
andacpproc.i
. This information includes a description of their characteristics, how to access them using the include files, and the options available to implement these example types.- Detailed information about specific code examples that users can modify to meet their company’s reporting needs. These examples invoke the Actuate API as it is defined in the persistent procedure,
ActuateAPI.p
, and in theActuateAPI.i
file that contains Actuate constants.- A list of ActiveX examples and additional Actuate report example files.
