Assigning Index Keywords

A keyword is a word or phrase the help author assigns to a topic so a user can quickly find that topic using the Index tab of the Help Topics dialog box.

A help topic can be assigned one or more keywords by inserting the keyword after the K control code. A keyword footnote may contain any ANSI character, including spaces and accented characters, and can be up to 255 characters long. One space separates the control code and the keyword footnote text. Keywords are not required:

If you want to assign multiple keywords to a help topic, you must separate them with a semicolon (;) as shown below:
