Change Progress/400 Defaults Utility (CHGPRODFT)

Use the CHGPRODFT utility to change the values in the user space that contains Progress/400 installation values.

When you initially install Progress/400, the installation utility places many of the installation values in a user space in the Progress library. These values include, for example, the name of the default case-insensitive table and the name of the IFS directory where Progress/400 stores IFS objects.

If you want to rename the installed library or copy its contents to another library, you must reinitialize the values in this user space. To do this, add the new or renamed library to the front of the library list, then type CHGPRODFT on an AS/400 command line. The utility returns the current values and allows you to change them.

When you execute command, the following screens appear in succession. To move from one screen to the next press ENTER. To move to a previous screen press F3. When ENTER is pressed on the last screen, the changes are made:

You modify values in the Progress/400 Product Configuration screen to change values originally set during installation for the Progress/400 product:

You modify values in the Progress/400 Native-Client Configuration screen to change the temporary objects directory originally set during installation for the Native 4GL Client and the Progress/400 AppServer:
