Windows Requirements
Table 1–2 lists the minimum requirements for running Progress on Windows NT on Intel, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows ME, and Windows XP.
Table 1–2: System Requirements For Windows Platforms Component Requirement Progress 4GL client A Pentium PC (or compatible computer) with a clock speed of at least 100MHZ (200MHZ recommended).32MB (64MB recommended). Progress server A Pentium PC (or compatible computer) with a clock speed of at least 200MHZ (400MHZ recommended).64MB (96MB recommended). Hard disk drive Sufficient disk space to hold the Progress software you want to install. See Table 1–4 to determine the disk space that Progress products use. Disk space Sufficient disk space on the drive where Windows is installed for Windows system files that Progress copies there. Depending on which Windows system files are already installed on your system, Progress can install up to 10MB on your Windows directory. Java See the "Java" section for detailed information about the Java requirements if you are installing a database; the Open Client Toolkit; or SQL-92 Client Access. CD-ROM A CD-ROM drive.
NOTE: Progress Version 9 supports the Windows 98 platform, with the following exceptions:
