PROC-STATUS Function
Returns the return status from an ORACLE stored procedure. The return status is an integer value that indicates whether a stored procedure failed and why it failed. See the ORACLE PL/SQL User’s Guide and Reference for descriptions of the possible values for the return status:

This procedure runs the ORACLE stored procedure pcust and writes the results of the stored procedure into the proc-text-buffer. The CLOSE STORED-PROC statement then retrieves the output parameters. The return status is written to the variable stat and is displayed:
