PROPATH Construction Rules
PROPATH on the OS/400 is built like PROPATH on all other Progress clients. However, you can lose the working directory in the PROPATH if you do not specify enough commas in the PROPATH sections you define, as prepending the sections can alter the PROPATH meaning. For example, if you specify the string
/home/mydir
as the PROPATH, it is prepended to the default PROPATH to produce the following:
Note that the single comma acts as a path delimiter and does not itself represent the working directory. To insert the working directory into the middle of the PROPATH, specify the following for PROPATH:
This results in the following PROPATH:
In this case, the second comma indicates to Progress where to insert the working directory.
