Using Expressions

You use expressions in the Expert Mode of WHERE clauses. Expressions are used in many Progress statements and functions. If the value of one or more of the components of an expression is an unknown value (?), the result of the expression is usually an unknown value.

NOTE: When you use expressions to perform mathematical calculations, and the result of operations involving integers is larger than the largest value of an integer (+ 2 billion), Progress might end abnormally.
