Progress DataServer For ORACLE
The DataServer for ORACLE contains the following enhancements over previous versions:
RAW–TRANSFER Statement
The DataServer for ORACLE supports the RAW–TRANSFER statement, which allows you to manipulate entire rows without any conversion. You can thus store an entire ORACLE database row in a Progress RAW field or in an ORACLE RAW (or RAW Long) column, then restore the field or column as an ORACLE database row. In a similar way, you can store a Progress database record in an ORACLE RAW (or RAW Long) column, then restore the column as a Progress database record. For more information on the RAW–TRANSFER statement, see the Progress Programming Handbook .
Bulk Insert In Schema Migration Tools
In the Schema Migration Tools for ORACLE, Progress now provides a Bulk Inserts utility. This utility allows the DataServer to insert many rows at a time into ORACLE, thus increasing performance.
GET PREVIOUS After Index Reposition
GET PREVIOUS after index reposition will now retrieve rows prior to the point to which you repositioned your query.
