Before-image Buffers (-bibufs)
n
The number of before-image buffers.
Use Before-image Buffers (-
bibufs
) to specify the number of before-image buffers. This parameter is useful only when running the before-image writer (BIW). The BIW continually writes the filled before-image buffers to disk, making the buffers available to other client and server processes. Without a BIW writing the buffers, any gain from increasing the number of buffers is negligible.
