User-interface Environments
Each user interface that Progress supports provides a place for storing environment settings. Environment settings determine how the display appears to the user and how the mouse and keyboard behave.
On Windows platforms (graphical and character), Progress uses either the registry or the
progress.ini
file for user-interface environment settings. For more information on the use of the registry and theprogress.ini
file, see the chapter on user-interface environments in the Progress Client Deployment Guide .On UNIX platforms, Progress searches the PROTERMCAP file for the user-interface environment settings.
