Editors

You can edit procedure files with conventional text editors, such as NotePad or the Progress Procedure Editor.

The Code Section Editor is the AppBuilder’s main tool for editing structured procedure files. Unlike other editors. it is integrated with the AppBuilder and it preserves the structure of structured procedure files.

To invoke the Code Section Editor, choose the Code button or Window Code Section Editor from the AppBuilder main menu. You can also invoke the Code Section Editor by double-clicking on an object. (You have to enable double-clicking on objects in the Options Preferences window.)

See the Progress AppBuilder Developer’s Guide for more information about the Code Section Editor. Also see the AppBuilder online help.
