License Usage Reporting Interval (-rptint)
n
The interval, in minutes, at which the server polls for usage information.
Use License Usage Reporting Interval (
-rptint
) to define the polling interval at which the server gathers license usage statistics reported in the usage report file. If you omit this parameter, no usage reporting occurs. The-rptint
parameter is relevant only on shared-memory systems.NOTE: The recommended minimum value is 30. If you set this value below 30, the high polling frequency will cause your log file to grow unreasonably large; it might also severely impact server performance.
You must shut down the server to change this parameter. If you specify the
-rptin
t parameter, Progress saves the following information in a text file nameddbname
.rpt
:
- Time stamp of the entry
- Current user count
- Maximum number of concurrent users since the last entry
- Maximum number of concurrent users since server startup
- Total number of users since server startup
- Number of attempts to exceed user-defined user count (defined with the User Count (
-usrcoun
t) parameter) since server startup- Number of attempts to exceed the licensed user count since server startup
