Recovery Log Threshold (-bithold)
n
An integer specifying the threshold, in MB.
Use Recovery Log Threshold (-bithold) to set the maximum size to which recovery log files can grow. The recommended threshold is between 3% and 100% of the largest possible recovery log file size, rounded to the nearest cluster boundary. If the threshold is set above 1000MB, Progress issues a warning message to the display and the database log (
.lg
) file. Once the threshold is reached, the database performs an emergency shutdown. See the Progress Database Administration Guide and Reference for more information about recovery logs.
