SBMJOB Parameters
This section lists the parameters for the OS/400 Submit Job (SBMJOB) CL command. It also lists the Progress equivalents (what Progress displays when you access the parameter form with the INSERT statement) and the OS/400 default for that parameter. See the AS/400 CL Reference for more information about the SBMJOB command. Table 11–4 describes the SBMJOB parameters.
Table 11–4: SBMJOB Parameters Keyword Parameter Value CMD Command to run Names the OS/400 CL command to submit. JOB Job name Names the job that you are submitting. The default is *JOBD. JOBD Job description Names the job description. The default is *USRPRF. Library Names the library of the job description. JOBQ Job queue Names the job queue. The default is *JOBD. Library Names the job queue’s library. JOBPTY Job priority on JOBQ Names the priority on the job queue. The default is *JOBD. OUTPTY Output priority on OUTQ Names the priority for output files that the job creates. The default is *JOBD. PRTDEV Print device Names the printer. The default is *CURRENT. OUTQ Output queue Names the output queue for the job’s spooled output. The default is *CURRENT. Library Names the output queue’s library. USER User Names the user profile. The default is *CURRENT. PRTTXT Print text Identifies the text printed at the bottom of this job’s printed output. The default is *CURRENT. RTGDTA Routing data Names the routing data that starts the first routing step. The default is QCMDB. RQSDTA Request data or command Names the request data used as the last entry in the message queue. The default is *CMD. SYSLIBL System library list Names the system library list that the job should use. The default is *CURRENT. CURLIB Current library Names the current library that the job should use. The default is *CURRENT. INLLIB Initial library list Names the initial library list that the job should use. (This is the user portion of the library list.) The default is *CURRENT. text Names the values that the job uses to write messages to the job log. You can specify message level, severity, and text. The default is *JOBD. LOGCLPGM Log CL program commands Indicates whether to write CL commands to the job log. The default is *JOBD. INQMSGRPY Inquiry message reply Identifies how to answer inquiry messages. The default is *JOBD. HOLD Hold on job queue Identifies whether the job is held when put on the job queue. The default is *JOBD. DATE Job date Names the date that the job is started. The default is *JOBD. SWS Job switches Names the job switches that the job uses. The default is *JOBD. DSPSMBJOB Allow display by WRKSBMJOB Identifies whether to display the job on the screen when the WRKSBMJOB command is entered. The default is *YES. MSGQ Message queue Names the message queue where messages are written when the job completes (either successfully or with errors). The default is *USRPRF. Library Names the library where the message queue resides. CCISD Coded character set ID Names the coded character set ID to use with this job. The default is *CURRENT.
