Setting AdminServer Security
Once you have installed WebSpeed on UNIX, you can optionally set user and/or group AdminServer security. You can set this option on the command line to require an individual user and/or groups of users to provide valid values during the AdminServer startup process. These products use the AdminServer: AppServer, WebSpeed, Sonic MQ Adapter, and the Progress Explorer.
In Progress Version 9.1C and earlier versions, any valid user can access and execute operations within the AdminServer. The introduction of the AdminServer user-group authorization feature allows you to require a level of security that enables only authenticated operating systems users and groups access to and use of the Admin Service.
To effectively set up this security option for your AdminServer use, review your security needs and current authenticated operating system users and groups to determine how you will set up this option during installation process.

Table 6–8 identifies and briefly describes the purpose of each new command-line option:
On UNIX platforms, a group name can be any user-defined or NIS group name. UNIX can also support subgroups.
