Changes In the Progress Core Installation Process For Progress Message Files

During the Progress Core Installation process prior to Progress Version 9.1D, there is a potential to incorrectly overwrite or update a promsgs file in the local directory. When re-installing Progress, as is necessary to perform various tasks, there is no mechanism to ensure that the most up-to-date promsgs files are always available. Prior to Progress Version 9.1D, the patch process has been the vehicle to address file changes and updates, including addressing incorrectly overwritten promsgs files, and files such as messages.jar and Prohelp\msgdata that are associated with promsgs files.

Progress Version 9.1D incorporates the following changes to address this problem:
