DB2/400 and Progress Objects and Terminology
DB2/400 and Progress databases share some of the elements common to data storage systems, but each has additional elements. For DB2/400, you define these elements in physical and logical files. For a Progress database, you define objects with the Data Dictionary. In addition, the two database systems use different terminology to refer to these objects. Table 2–1 compares the DB2/400 and Progress database objects.
