Deleting a Field
Follow these steps to delete a field:
- Choose Schema
Field Editor. Progress alphabetically lists all the tables defined for your database.
- Select the table that contains the field you want to delete. Progress lists all the fields defined for the selected table.
- Choose the Delete option from the menu at the bottom of the window.
- Choose the field you want to delete, then press RETURN. Progress prompts you to verify that you want to delete the field.
- Choose Yes. Progress returns you to the Field Editor.
- Choose Exit to apply the change. Progress displays an alert box asking if you want to apply or undo the changes to the database, or if you want to make other changes.
- Choose Apply Changes. Progress returns you to the Data Dictionary main window.
