Disconnecting a Database with the Data Dictionary

Follow these steps to disconnect a database with the Data Dictionary when using a graphical interface:

  1. Access the Data Dictionary. The Data Dictionary displays the connected databases and their tables and fields.
  2. Select the database you want to disconnect from the database selection list.
  3. Choose Database Disconnect.
  4. At the prompt, verify that you want to disconnect the database.

Follow these steps to disconnect a database with the Data Dictionary when using a character interface:

  1. Access the Data Dictionary.
  2. Choose Database Disconnect. Progress lists the connected databases.
  3. Select the database you want to disconnect, then choose Enter.
  4. At the prompt, verify that you want to disconnect the database.
