WebSpeed Component Distribution
Table 3–1 shows the maximum component distribution that you can achieve with WebSpeed components over a network. It shows the major components of the WebSpeed run-time model that must reside together on the same machine. The WebSpeed Messenger must live on the same machine as the Web server. The WebSpeed Broker, and Agent, also reside together on the same machine. Otherwise, you can combine these configurations together in any combination of one or more machines that WebSpeed supports.
In addition to these, you can also add a Progress AppServer to any supported machines on the network. An AppServer can execute Progress procedures on behalf of a WebSpeed Agent acting as a Progress client. For more information on the Progress AppServer, see the Building Distributed Applications Using the Progress AppServer manual.
For more detailed information about WebSpeed component distribution, see the WebSpeed Installation and Configuration Guide .
