New DB2/400 Database
To set up a new Progress/400 environment, execute the DUPPRODB utility with the Create Schema Image (CRTSCHIMG) parameter set to *YES. The CRTSCHIMG parameter adds the P__SCHEMA* files to the server schema, then synchronizes it with the server schema’s P__* files. The P__SCHEMA* files contain schema definitions for the DB2/400 database. The schema is a description of the DB2/400 database structure, the files, the fields within the files, the indexes, and so forth. The Progress/400 DataServer uses the schema image to map the data definitions in the server schema to a format the native clients can understand.
Use the following OS/400 syntax to execute the DUPPRODB utility with the CRTSCHIMG option:
Table 5–2 details the Create Schema Image (CRTSCHIMG) parameter for the DUPPRODB utility. For a complete list of the DUPPRODB parameters, see AS/400 Utilities."
