Running Sample Applications
WebSpeed includes sample applications that illustrate intranet, internet, and extranet applications.
The sample applications run against the sample Sports2000 database, which is located in your installation directory. In order to run the sample applications, you should complete the following setup procedure:
- Copy the Sports2000 database from the installation directory into your personal working directory.
- Start a server for your working copy of the Sports2000 database.
- Start a WebSpeed Broker connected to your working copy of the Sports2000 database.
- Connect the AppBuilder to your working copy of the Sports2000 database.
- Specify the WebSpeed Broker URL and your default browser in the AppBuilder Preferences dialog box.

To access the sample applications from the AppBuilder, choose Tools
WebTools from the AppBuilder menu bar. Then select Sample Applications from the top of the main help page. Then select one of the following to run:
- Sales Advisor Intranet Application—An intranet application that you can create by following the tutorial in Creating a WebSpeed Application."
- SportsPro Shopping Cart Internet Application—An example of one of the most popular types of Web-based Internet applications.
- Supplier Extranet Application—An example of a business-to-business extranet application with some advanced WebSpeed features.
