Use Windows Single Session (-wss) to limit a user to running only one Progress client session at a time. This parameter applies only to a Windows GUI client. If an existing Progress session is running on the machine when -wss is specified, the new session terminates and the windows of the existing session are brought forward to alert the user. To avoid unnecessary processing of other parameters, use the -wss parameter first on the command line.

If more than one Progress application is installed on a user’s machine, do not use the -wss parameter else it will prevent a user from running two or more applications at the same time. In addition, the -wss parameter does not recognize versions of Progress prior to Version 9.0.
