Segregating User-interface Logic and Business Logic

You must distribute the application’s code among client and servers so that user-interface logic resides on the client while business logic resides on one or more AppServers.

To help you segregate user-interface logic and business logic, Progress provides SmartObjectsTM. While not required, SmartObjects can greatly simplify the process of assembling the WebClient application. For more information, see the chapter on SmartObjects in the Progress AppBuilder Developer’s Guide.
