Debugger Guide
Displaying Debug Listings
The FILE command displays the debug listing for any procedure in the listing panel, whether or not it is active or part of the application you are running. If the listed procedure is not active in the Debugger context, the listing is displayed with all breakpoint indicators at specified lines, whether or not the lines are executable. However, when you run the procedure in the Debugger context, the breakpoint indicators adjust to show the effective breakpoints.
The listed procedure provides defaults for the Break and Run options of the Debug menu, whether or not it is the current procedure. It also specifies the default procedure for the BREAK and CANCEL BREAK commands. For more information, see the "Setting Breakpoints," "Removing Breakpoints," and "Continuing Procedure Execution" sections.
NOTE: The FILE command does not change focus in the Debugger context. The current procedure remains unaffected by the FILE command. You can also enter the FILE command using the File
Open option. Choosing this option opens a dialog box in which you can enter or select a procedure to list. When you choose the OK button, the Open option enters the FILE command to display the listing.
