Procedure Loading and Execution
R-code is the intermediate binary code that Progress generates when it compiles 4GL source files. This is the code that Progress actually runs when it executes a procedure, whether from session compiles or from permanently generated r-code (.r) files. Execution of r-code can affect client performance. This section describes r-code and the performance options related to it. For information about r-code features and functions, see the Progress Programming Handbook.
