Debugger Guide
Controlling Procedure Execution
The purpose of the Debugger is to control procedure execution so that you can closely follow the actual decisions and code paths that a procedure takes as it runs. An initial application procedure starts up in one of two ways:
- Together with the Debugger, stopped at a breakpoint on the first executable line (application mode). From here you can continue procedure execution with a control flow command like CONTINUE or start another procedure with the RUN command.
- After the Debugger begins (stand-alone mode). From here you must start initial procedure execution with the RUN command.
For more information on starting a debugging session in application or stand-alone mode, see Starting and Stopping the Debugger."
