SAX-PARSE() Method

Performs a single-call parse of an XML document associated with a SAX-READER object.

Return Type: No return value.

Applies To: SAX-READER Object

SYNTAX

SAX-PARSE ( ) 

Returns when one of the following occurs:

While SAX-PARSE() is running, each time the parser detects an XML element, Progress invokes the corresponding callback. Callbacks reside in a procedure file whose handle has been assigned to SAX-READER’s HANDLER attribute.

NOTE: SAX-PARSE() does not have a return value. To detect if an error has occurred, add NO-ERROR to the call and when it returns, check ERROR-STATUS:ERROR.
